Mission accomplished

I don't know if you remember the card I made for my lovely sister who has moved into a new house - and more so the missing present I was going to get.

That mission is now accomplished! And with the help from my to fantastic girl, I didn't have to send it to her without a personal touch. They both desided to make some hama-bead-creations for their favourite aunti and here are the results.

I have to say that they went to great lengths in their attempts not to smile
- but luckily it didn't work.

Orienteering

After my last post, Louise asked me if we didn't take any pictures - and for once my dear husband actually brought his beloved camera.

It started of a bit foggy but by the end of the 5k the sun came out and it turned out to be a lovely Octobers day.

Here are a couple of shots from the day!

The big girls running off lots and lots of energy pretending to be witches

Freya spotting the next post and therefore the one who gets to stamp the card

So this was the last event of the season, but the first time Freya, who is three, walked all 5k by without her pushchair - WELL DONE!!!

Dinner with friends

A few weeks ago we was invited to the Christening of our lovely nephew Jonannes. I was a lovely day with family and VERY nice food.

I have to admit I have never been a fan of the thought of bulgur wheat and spelt salad but that day I saw the light. We had the most fantastic various salads with spelt, fennel, sun dried tomatoes and green beans (not all in the same bowl of course).

Today, after 5 k of orienteering, we had some very good friends over for lunch and after hunting high and low for some spelt grain with no luck, I decided to try a green bean salad my good friend Anette told me about.

It is very delicious and so easy to make too - here are the ingredients if you want to try:

Fresh green beans - blanched
Feta cheese
Red onion
Almond flakes

Dressing:
2 parts olive oil
1 part balsamic vinegar
1 part acacia honey

Bon appetit!

Cards, Cards, Cards...

- or should I just say one card, because that is all it is.

Whilst I am still thinking long and hard about my Christmas Cards (think it involves something with 6x6 kraft paper cards, hessian (or do you call it burlap here, still confused and don't even know if there is a difference), some stars and perhaps a sneeky stamp), I thought I would share a card I made for my sister who has just moved.

It has to be said that after the summer I have really struggled with getting my scrapbook pages going again - many anight have I unpacked everything only to put it away after 2 hours of paper shifting :-)

So at the last class at Louise's I thought I'd cut my loses and make a couple of moving-house-cards instead. I did get a lot of slack for not having finished the first one after an hour - lol - but then I was on a roll and made the next one i about ten minutes and regain the respect :-)

And here it is - still on my desk as I still haven't bought the kitchen scales I want to sent with it. I guess I must make that my next project...
